I just read from a French news review blog I subscribed to that there is a debate in the UK about a disabled lady who presents a show for children on the "beeb".
It looks like she has no right arm (it very much looks like it, and, indeed, she has none). Apparently there's debate about whether she should or should not show her disability to the young audience.
Anyway, what I find interesting is that apparently the audience is ready to accept people with this kind of disability on the screen -which is very good, really. But we have not yet reached a point where people with a stutter could get to this point, although I suppose that, in proportion, there's probably more stutteres than people with no right (or left) arm.
Interesting, no?
