I have also stuttered my whole life and am a freshman in college! I know exactly how you feel about opening up to people and talking about it. I think I've only really really talked about it to maybe 2 of my friends.

Hi all! My name is Stephanie Brekke and I am a Freshman in college. I have been stuttering all my life and have taken speech thearpy since 2nd grade. It's been hard for me throughout the years to come to terms with my stuttering, and it still hasn't happened. Right now, even writing this it's hard for me. It's difficult for me to open up to people and be vulnerable. I have only done that truly with about 6 of my friends, who I love so dearly!
Being a freshman in college, I find it hard to open up to people. It's a new life and it's reall tough starting fresh. My greatest fear, of course, is public speaking, but I WILL get over this fear because I WILL be a lawyer someday. My mom always says that nothing can get in the way of my dreams, and I WILL NOT let stuttering get in the way. Being a lawyer has been a lifelong dream of mine and I will let NOTHING get in the way.
