Something more. These guys are talking about what happens in the BRAIN not the MIND so there is a process missing. MIND --> BRAIN --> EFFECT. It's the processes in the MIND (or consciousness) that influence the processes in the BRAIN which in turn has an effect. If you want to pick up a glass the decision is made in the MIND which in turn stimulates the appropriate part of the BRAIN which then sends millions of instructions to various parts of the body to ensure that the hand/eye co-ordination works perfectly and the glass is raised.
I believe there is too much focus on treating the EFFECT (speech therapy) or on the processes in the BRAIN (medication) and way too little focus on the MIND (enlightenment) where disruptions are the underlying causes of undesirable EFFECTS.
Thanks for this video. As much as I agree with and support therapies that alleviate suffering, I would also advocate looking deeper at the underlying cause for the over supply of dopamine in the first place. Address the underlying cause and you may find 100% solution to the problem. Case in point: 3% of children stutter but only 1% of adults. Therefore nearly 70% of children get over their stutter naturally without therapy and medication. Makes you think.

I read about this somewhere a few months back on a swedish university journal, Lund University. Its all about the excess natural dopamine in the brain of a stammer/stutterer. Also it mentions why people with stutters dont stutter when they act or sing because it uses a different part of the brain; the electrical systems in the brain skip the normal voice area and use the singing voice area of the brain instead. I'll try find the link but this CNN report about a pill to help curb stammering is amazing! lets hope they release an official pill to help :)
